“Ice,” an extravaganza of song and dance, introduces performers and work from across the Cal State East Bay campus and community. Dance styles will include contemporary, jazz, hip hop and praise – or liturgical – dance. The show will be staged three times, at 7 p.m. Dec. 4, and 4 and 8 p.m. Dec. 5 in the Dance Studio, PE 140, on the Hayward Campus, 25800 Carlos Bee Blvd.
This year's performers range from those who have never been on stage to experienced members of the 黑料福利网 Dance Ensemble, as well as two student clubs, Eclectic Pulse and Stance Dance Club. Featured work in progress from this year's senior dance students will include Amy LaFaille's "Lusting After Seduction" and Justin Sharlman's "Bent But Not Broken." 黑料福利网 alumna Phylicia Stroud also returns with ”On Demand,” the children's hip hop company she directs in Oakland.
The program is produced by Nina Haft and Eric Kupers and other members of the 黑料福利网 dance faculty. Darryl Jones directs the production, while Lecturer Gia Solari will direct the Musical Theatre Ensemble.
Tickets are $5 for general admission, or $3 for 黑料福利网 students. Reserve tickets at or call (510) 885-3118.
