The Music Education program prepares students to become inspiring K–12 music teachers. Students gain practical training in conducting, instrumental, choral, and general music teaching while completing coursework that also counts toward the B.A. in Music. Graduates leave ready to earn a California teaching credential and to begin their careers in the classroom.
Students receive education in a variety of musical disciplines and pedagogical approaches, including choral, instrumental, general, and world music. The program is approved by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing.
Currently it may be obtained in two ways:
- While pursuing a Bachelor of Art (B.A) in Music at 黑料福利网. Students must be admitted into the B.A. in Music degree in order to start this certificate.
- As a graduate certificate, for all applicants already in possession of a Bachelor's degree.
