XFINITY On Campus

We are excited to announce the start of the XFINITY On Campus IPTV streaming service for all residents!

This new service will provide the award-winning XFINITY service with 80+ channels (including HBO), On Demand, a personal DVR, and the ability to easily order additional channels (such as premium sports packages) for a nominal monthly fee. Residents are unable to purchase Pay Per View Events. Click the following link to see our Live TV and TV GO Streaming Channel Line Up!

This service is available to residents’ smartphones and tablets (using the Comcast Streaming App), laptops, and desktop computers connected to the Campus "黑料福利网" Wi-Fi Network.

Pioneer Height Residents that would like to use a traditional TV, additional equipment is required, such as:

  • A Roku Device (more Information and where to buy please visit )
  • A Roku-Enabled SmartTV

You must download the XFINITY Stream App on your Roku device or Roku-enabled SmartTV to access live TV, sports, movies, and more.

You must connect your Roku device or Roku-enabled SmartTV with the "TheHts" wireless network and register it through the following link, .

Basic Setup Guide

    • Visit the XFINITY On Campus Web Page at 
    • Enter “Cal State East Bay” into the school search field.
    • You will be asked for your NetID and Password
    • Agree to the Terms of Service. You will be forwarded to the Comcast.net login page.
    • Select “XFINITY On Campus Students Sign In Here”
    • Select “Cal State East Bay”
    • You will now start your XFINITY experience.

    Please Note: You must be logged into the Campus Wi-Fi network to enjoy the Live Cable Streaming Function.

    • XFINITY Stream TV App from your smart device’s app store
    • When prompted to log in, select the “XFINITY On Campus Students Sign In Here”
    • Select “Cal State East Bay”
    • Enter your NetID and Password
    • You will now start your XFINITY Service

    Please Note: You must be logged into the Campus Wi-Fi network to enjoy the Live Cable Streaming Function.

  • To view your Roku's MAC Address, you must start from the Roku Home screen, select Settings > Network > Set up new wireless connection > Private network

    From there you can view your Roku's MAC Address:

    Your wireless MAC address:

  • From the Roku Home screen, select Settings > Network > Set up new wireless connection > TheHts > "I am at home"

    WARNING – DO NOT SELECT “I am at a hotel or college dorm”

  • Goto , click on "SIGN IN" then "SIGN IN WITH A PROVIDER"

    Go ahead on the select "XFINITY" on the Choose Your Provider Page

    From the Xfinity page, click on "SIGN IN" on the top right corner and select "Sign in here" next to Xfinity On Campus students.

    On the search bar, type Cal State East Bay and click on Submit.

    Go ahead type in your NETID and PASSWORD and click on Login.

  • XFINITY On Campus™ is an IPTV streaming service offered by Comcast for colleges and universities as their on-campus TV service solution. Students can stream live TV and thousands of XFINITY On Demand™ shows and movies directly on their laptops, desktops and mobile devices (Apple, Android, and Roku), while connected to their campus network.

    XFINITY On Campus™ is designed exclusively for students who live in on-campus housing and is included as part of the students' housing fees. Our service gives students the ability to watch their favorite shows, movies, and sporting events at anytime, anywhere on campus. Additionally, students can also watch shows using their school credentials to login to over 90 TV Everywhere apps when off-campus.

  • XFINITY Stream is already included with campus housing fees for students who live in on-campus housing.

  • With XFINITY Stream, residents have access to streaming live TV anytime, anywhere on campus. 100+ live streaming channels including HBO® and thousands of free XFINITY On Demand™ choices are all included with campus housing. Additional premium content such as STARZ®, SHOWTIME®, and sports packages can be added using a month-to-month no-contract based subscription.

  • XFINITY On Campus is part of your university's on-campus TV service and is only eligible for students registered as living on campus. If you are unable to login, please contact the Access Office at Lassen Rec.

    • On-Campus means you ARE connected to your campus Wi-Fi.
    • Off-Campus means you ARE NOT connected to your campus network or Wi-Fi is available to all residents who are eligible for XFINITY On Campus at no additional cost.

  • XFINITY On Campus only allows users to stream video to one device at a time. There can be up to a five-minute delay when switching between devices. You can add up to 40 devices.

  • DVR gives XFINITY On Campus users the ability to record their favorite shows and play them back on their time or on the go. With DVR, you will have access to the following features:

    • Record up to two programs at once
    • Store up to 20 hours of DVR recordings
    • Watch completed recordings on or off your campus network.
    • Download DVR recordings and XFINITY TV Go On Demand programs to your mobile device to watch off-line and on the go
    • Schedule, change and manage recordings
    • Watch in-progress DVR recordings while connected to your campus network
    • DVR is available to all students who are eligible for XFINITY On Campus at no additional cost.
